Harvest Tree and an Update...
Hi everyone!
I just wanted to show you my harvest tree....I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out, although I do plan on adding to it over the next couple of weeks, as well as making a ruffled burlap tree skirt!!
I'm trying to do it on the cheap......I bought the tree at Walmart for $20, and I've made the flowers and bouquets myself.
It's off to a cute cottage-y start though!........What do you think?
Dollar tree flowers....
Coffee Filter Flowers...
I also wanted to give you an update on my Fall Burlap Banner.....as I mentioned on a previous post, I wasn't sure where to hang my banner.....I had it on my bookshelves in the Living Room, but it seemed too busy.......
.......but I'm still not loving it here =(
I think because I made it so large because I had originally intended for it to go outside, and now the scale seems off...read: it's too dang big!!.....plus the top lace trim is boinging out (yes, that is a word! ;)), and it's really annoying me, so I need to stitch that down!
Oh well, I probably will end up moving it outside after all...it's time to take down my summer flag banner now anyway!!
My life is very blessed that these are my dilemmas!!

Have a Wonderful Day!!
Gorgeous Fall Planter!!
Just wanted to show you my beautiful new Urn Planter that I got this weekend!
My husband and I went to Lopez Imports which is in the next town over, and he helped me get it home!!
Poor thing...he had to put 3 different (heavy!) pots in the wagon, and then take them out when I changed my mind!!
We had to fend off scary lizards and wild squirrels as we searched for the perfect pot....... not to mention all the thorns that were poking through my sandals!!
I finally decided on this urn, but not before we paid for a different one!! We were just getting ready to lift it into the car when I spied this beauty and I knew it was 'The One'!! Thank goodness the man let us exchange it no problem since they were both the same price!!
You can see why my husband just loves to go shopping with me!! He's the best husband ever!! Love you baby ;)
I think it adds a lot to our front porch, and I'm thrilled with the way the plants look in it!! I had been saving that fountain grass forever, waiting for the perfect pot!!

Happy Friday Everyone!!
Yay Friday!!
I love Fridays...I get to stay home (My most favorite place on earth!), help my son with his homeschool work, and clean!!
Then, tomorrow we are going to the county fair! I love to see all the animals, and eat corn on the cob!! And I'm secretly hoping I can find some cornstalks for my porch!!
Anyway....... I could use a little advice...I made this Burlap Fall Banner the other day, and I'm not sure where to hang it! Originally I had intended to hang it outside on my front porch, but it turned out way cuter than I had anticipated, and now I don't want to ruin it!!
I've hung it in my livingroom temporarily, where you can see it right away when you walk in the door, and while I do think it goes great with all my colors and stuff in there, I am worried it may be a little...ummm...... busy.
What do you all think? Leave it on the bookshelves or find a different place?

Looking at these pictures I can see it's clearly time for some fall decor on this side of the room!!
Happy day everyone!

My cheerful wreath!! Turned out pretty good if I do say so...
Just a couple out back.....
Had to "Fall Up" my chicken run a bit!...

My sweet scarecrow.... her job is to greet everyone with a warm welcome!
This is the mostly barren right side of my porch...
I just wanted to show you this planter, because I absolutely adore my sweet potato vine! It came back this year on it's own and I was so thrilled!!
Here is the arrangement I made yesterday....most of the flowers I got for super cheap at Goodwill last spring, with a few leftovers from the wreath!
Notice my darling burlap runner that I whipped up this morning.......I meant to make this last year, but you know how it goes...
Hmmm..now how'd that get in here, oh well another picture of my arrangement...I bought the stoneware pitcher at Michael's years ago....up until yesterday I was using it to hold paintbrushes.....yep, I'm a big fan of 'using what I have' in my decorating!!
And here is my darling little dining corner!! Not much of a dining room, but our house is little! You can see the front door to the left!!
Hope I haven't bored you too much yet, but if you are anything like me, then you can't get enough pictures!!.....I love to peek inside people's homes and see how they decorate their spaces!
This is my family room that used to be a garage...whoever converted it did a fantastic job! I adore the brickwork! Too bad we're renting!!
Had to "Fall Up" my chicken run a bit!...
Here are my sweet girls....getting ready to lay their first eggs any day....
Left to right we have Junie B, Velvet, and Alice. I'll do a whole post on them soon with better pics.
Here is to the left of their run...this area used to be filled with flowers, and I swore I would not let them forage in there.....well, if you know much about chickens, you know they get into your hearts and it's just sooo hard to say no!!
Time to replant!!
I hope you enjoyed the little tour!! Have a super blessed day!!
