I can still crochet!!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

It's a beautiful, sunny morning here in Central California! My husband is at a teaching seminar all day and my son is with his father, so I have the whole house to myself today...ahhhhh...hear that??? Wonderful silence! Actually, someone outside is mowing, but's it's silent in here!!!

I thought I would show you what I've been up to the last couple of days. I've been itching to do something in the evenings when I am just sitting on my butt watching my new favorite show...The Big Bang Theory..I love that show, they are so geeky! Both my kids are geeks (maybe I'm a little nerdy too...shhhh!), so I can totally relate!

Anyway.... I thought I would try my hand at crocheting, and I'm happy to announce...Yes, Virginia...I can still crochet after all these years! I haven't picked up a crochet hook in about 6 years! It took some trial and error...well, lots of error.... but I managed to make these three delightful if I can only bring myself to actually use them!

I made them using 100% cotton yarn, and they are so soft and should wash nicely. I'm completely inspired to make an afghan now!! There is some sunny glare on the photos...sorry 'bout that...

This one is actually not quite's going to have cherries appliqued on it, but I need to make another trip to the yarn store!

My new little vintage tin tea set!!

I'll be linking up with these fun parties:
Craft Junkie Too Friend

Hope you have a super great weekend!!

  13. Oh my stars! Your crochet is charming. I think I would like to learn how to do that. My grandma crocheted a lot when I was a girl - I had a poncho, a vest, hangers, you name it - whatever was popular in the 70s my grandma made for me. Fun to see the colors you chose and how you put them together. Just darling!
