Is it really Rednesday again??

...Already!!? Geesh, where did that week go??

 Anyway, yippie!! I love Rednesday!!

Today I thought I would share my little Ideal "Boopsie" doll. I'm not sure if that is her official name, but it's what I have always referred to her as! She is marked Ideal Pat. Pending on her back, and she is from the 1950's. I have always meant to give her a proper dress, as this ratty piece of thin felt or flannel is what she came to me wearing.....but, over the years I've grown rather attached to it, and it seems to suit her! Anyway, she has never complained!!

As usual, I am linking up with Sue over at It's a Very Cherry World....won't you stop by and join in the fun??....

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Well, if you read my previous post, then you would know I was um.... slightly stressed out over something last week, but I am happy to say...it is over!! Yay! I can rest easy now and focus on more important things, like YOU, of course!

The Penny Saver sent me a lovely little 20% off coupon for my favorite thrift store last week, so of course I had to go before it expired!

So there I was... wandering around... all bummed out... because I couldn't find anything worthwhile (wah!!), I mean, even my husband had something in the cart, and that rarely happens!

Then, I saw them! Little vintage children's books! Yes!! They were in a bag, so it was kinda hard to see, but I knew 2 were Little Golden Books, one was a nothing book (poor little book...it's not it's fault), and I could not see the little one in the middle.....so I was very excited when I got it home and it turned out to be a Junior Elf book!! It's very little (4x6") and very sweet and I love it!
I hope you do too.....

Children always scribble on the faces! Personally, I think it's sweet...Oh look Mummy, a baby kangaroo...I shall color on his wee little face!.. That's my English accent in case you were wondering...don't ask me to do it in real life!

I love this little elephant...my favorite toy as a child was Dumbo, my great-gramma knitted (knit?) him for me when I was 4 years old...my daughter has him now, but he will always be my Dumbo!

Here is the whole sweet gang together:

Hope you have a Marvelous Monday!!

I'll be linking up with Corey Moortgat's Lil' Vintage Story Book Friday Party, 'cuz, you know, it's Monday now, and I'm only 3 days late!!

I'm Late...I'm Late..!!

Well, not really late...just seriously behind! I have been soo busy trying to deal with a yucky personal issue (not health related...thank goodness!), that I keep pushing everything else aside. Not to worry though...tomorrow it's over!! Yay, then I can stop worrying about it.

In the meantime.... I thought I would say "Howdy-Do!" and share something for Rednesday!! I love red so darn much, I just couldn't resist!

Ta Da.....A darling little vintage Ohio Arts doggie tin plate!! I found this adorable little plate recently at a local Antiques Mall, as well as the little red dolly quilt and chalkware rabbit!! I think it all makes a sweet little display, what do you think??

Being held, of course, by Raggedy Ann
Pardon the glare...
See the bisque children in the mirror's reflection!
Oh My Gosh I'm cute!!
I love love love this rabbit!
This is the sweetest saying!! Can you see me in the relection?? Sorry 'bout that!!

Well, that's all I have for now....all the best to you 'til next time!

Vintage Bisque Children

Happy TGIF everyone!!
Well, I have had a super busy week, so I haven't been able to post much, but I have enjoyed browsing through all your great blogs, and a new friend (you know who you are, Mary! ;) ) got me hooked on Pinterest, so I have been spending some time over there as well....
Anywho, I thought I would show you my collection of vintage bisque children...I have lovingly collected these little cuties over the last 6 or 7 years now, most of them were only a dollar or two at yard sales and such...I'm always on the lookout for more.....although I've been told it's time to call your collection complete when the shelf is full, otherwise you run the risk of venturing into hoarder territory...oh bother...
This one is my favorite
Although this one is pretty sweet..she's serenading the darling bunnies!!
 Awww that goose loves her!!

Here are some close-ups of the little girl with her sweet Raggedy Andy Dolly (By special request! Thanks Debra!) I love his bright little eyes!

I hope you have enjoyed the little bisque children...I know I sure do!!

I'll be joining The Charm Of Home's "Home Sweet Home" party, come on over and see all the great stuff!!

Calico Fabric Doggie Pillow

Hi Everybody!!

Well, here's what I've been up to...

I made another pillow using the calico fabric I mentioned previously, as well as a super sweet doggie dresser scarf that used to adorn my son's dresser when he was little...he is 12 now and a wee bit past the darling doggie stage! I decided this little fellow needed to see the light of day again instead of being stuffed in a drawer!
A couple of my previous creations!
Little felt rose pin
Mr. Sock Monkey posing with the pillows..my husband found him yesterday while we were thrifting!
Well, that's all for now...Have a super day!

P.S. I'm joining these fun parties!! Come on over and join the fun!!
